Captain of 60m NEW BUILD M/Y

Vessel Details:

• 60 metre new-build motor yacht
• Private program for the first 18 months
• Global world tour itinerary planned
• Vessel currently in launch phase in the Med; entering completion and early operational stages
• Long-term owner with a strong interest in safe, high-standard world cruising with plans to use the yacht as an explorer vessel to travel to some exciting destinations
• Position begins as a full-time/permanent Captain role, transitioning to rotation after approximately 18 months (TBC with Owner)

Job Details:

• Lead the yacht through final build stages, commissioning, and early operational setup
• Establish safe manning, operational procedures, and a strong safety culture from day one
• Oversee all aspects of a private world-cruising program, including navigation, passage planning, and remote-operations readiness
• Build and mentor a cohesive crew as the vessel enters service
• Maintain close communication with the owner/representatives throughout the world tour period
• Set the foundations for a long-term, structured program that will shift to rotational employment after the first 18 months. You must be happy to work permanently for a period of time before transitioning to a rotational setup
• Opportunity to shape an entirely new operation and develop a high-performing team from the ground up

Requirements:

• Master 3000 ticket
• Proven experience as Captain on 50m+ motor yachts, ideally with global or long-range cruising
• Strong build, commissioning or early-operational experience beneficial
• Excellent verifiable references
• Schengen visa/European passport preferred
• Start date: ASAP
